Recruitment of Assistant Wireless Operator / Tele – Printer Operator ( Head Constable ) In Delhi Police – 2010.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited to fill up 603 vacancies of Assistant Wireless Operator / Tele – Printer Operator ( Head Constable ) in Delhi Police in the pay scale of PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- & other allowances as admissible.

Recruitment will be held at Delhi for which candidates fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply :

2. Closing Date for Delhi Police Recruitment 2010:

The last date of submission of Delhi Police Recruitment 2010 application form will be 27.02.2010.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2010 Applications received thereafter will not be entertained.

3. Delhi Police Recruitment 2010 Eligibility Condition :

a. Nationality : Applicant should be a bonafide citizen of India.

b. Educational Qualification for Delhi Police Recruitment 2010 :

  1. Passed 10+2 ( Senior Secondary ) from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics as subjects at the time of filling up of the application form.National Trade Certificate ( NTC ) in the trade of Mechanic – cum – operator Electronic Communication System at the time of filling up of the application form.
  2. Speed in English typing – 30 w.p.m. alongwith working knowledge of computers.

c) Age : 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2010.i.e. those born not earlier than 02.01.1983 and not later than 01.01.1992 will be eligible.

The upper age limit as prescribed above will be relaxable only in the following cases :

  1. 30 years for OBC. This relaxation is admissible for those castes notified in the Central List and the List issued by the Goverment of NCT of Delhi.No other certificate will be accepted as sufficient proof.
  2. 32 years for SC / ST.
  3. 40, 43 and 45 years for GENL., OBC and SC / ST departmental candidates respectively. A “departmental candidate” means a Constable ( Exe.) enlisted in Delhi Police with a minimum of 3 years regular and continuous service in Delhi Police.
  4. 35, 38 and 40 years for GENL., OBC and SC / ST candidates respectively of category widows / divorced women / women judicially separated from their husband and who are not re – married.
  5. Upto a maximum of 5 years for sportsmen / sportswomen of distinction who have represented a state at the national level and the country at the international level in sports. The discipline of sports for which relaxation is permissible as per table given at . If a candidate belongs to SC / ST category and fulfills the above criteria, he / she is eligible for 5 years relaxation in upper age limit over and above the relaxation prescribed at Clause (ii). In effect, he / she qualifies for relaxation in the upper age limit to a maximum of 10 years.
  6. Age concession to Ex – Servicemen will be allowed in accordance with the orders issued by the government from time to time. They will be permitted to deduct the period served in the armed forces from their actual age and the resultant age, so derived, should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years. It is further clarified that an ” Ex – Serviceman ” means a person, who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non – combatant in Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union and who retired from such service after earning his pension.

4. Standard of Physical Measurment :

Height :

  1. Male candidates : 170 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K ( Candidates claiming this relaxation would have to produce a certificate to this effect ( Hill area certificate ) from the competent authority i.e. DC / DM / SDM or Tehsildar of their place of residence at the time of Physical Measurement Test ).
  2. Female candidates : 157 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas for which certificates as above ( Hill area certificate ) will be produced.
  3. Chest :( Male Candidates ) Minimum 81 cms to 85 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas for which certificates as above ( Hill area certificate ) will be produced.

Note : For all candidates minimum expansion has to be 4 cms, failing which he will be disqualified.

5. Medical Standard for Delhi Police Recruitment:

The candidates should be of sound health, free from disease, defect or deformity.

Better eye 6/6 without glasses.

Worse eye 6/36 corrected with glasses 6/9 or 6/12 without glasses ( both eyes ).

The candidate should be free from colour blindness.

No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.

Applicant may cut the application form given in this advertisement, fill it up and send or ;

Delhi Police Recruitment Application form can also be photocopied / downloaded on A4 size paper as per the format given in the advertisement, fill it up and send.

  1. Applications as per format given in the advertisement / website only will be accepted.
  2. A photograph should be firmly affixed.
  3. A Demand / Bank Draft / Banker’s cheque of Rs. 100/- should be attached as fee in favour of DCP / Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi ( payable at Delhi ) which should be valid for six months.

Duly filled – in application forms alongwith Demand/Bank Draft / Banker’s cheque should be sent through ordinary post to ” Post Box No. 8020 “, and write on the top of the envelope ” Application for the post of Assistant Wireless Operator / Tele – Printer Operator ( Head Constable ) – 2010 “.

Note : Under the Recruitment Scheme, no documents alongwith application form are required to be sent and the information given by the candidate will be presumed to be correct.

To seek fee exemption of Rs. 100/-, the SC / ST and Ex – Servicemen candidates needs to attach an attested copy of caste certificate / discharge book.
